Each lane on a map has two forts per team along the way to the core. Forts are accompanied by a gate, three cannon towers, a healing fountain, and two walls.
The fort closer to the core is also known as a keep. Keeps and their accompanying structures are stronger than the outermost forts. Keeps have 17,000 Health.
Forts themselves fire at enemies and have ammunition similar to cannon towers. Each shot also slows its target by 40% for 2.5 seconds.
Forts and Keeps have True Sight, meaning they will reveal and attack Stealthed Heroes. True Sight is disabled while the Structure is disabled by effects such as the Raven Lord’s Curse or Sylvanas’ Black Arrow Trait.
Development[]
In the September, 2012 build of Heroes of the Storm, structures were grouped together as "towns." In this form, towers were spread out throughout the towns.[1]
