Cooperative Mode.jpg

Cooperative Mode was one of the gameplay modes in the Heroes of the Storm closed beta. Here, a player (and if desired, friends) could play against AI-controlled opponents. If no-one is on a friends list, the player is paired with other human players using the game's matchmaker. Along development, the AI difficulty will be designed to match the players' skill. The players are chosen prior to entering the matchmaking service. After playing the game, other players may be invited to join a party list.[1]

Originally, with the completion of a Cooperative Mode session, Versus Mode was unlocked,[1] but that requirement was removed in a later patch.[2]

Cooperative Mode was removed from the closed beta in the May 12, 2015 patch[3]. It was replaced by Versus AI Mode.
